Dog Quote: ‘Not just a dog’
Word of the week: Consistent; 1) acting or done in the same way over time, especially so as to be fair or accurate. "the parents are being consistent and firm in their reactions". 2) unchanging in nature, standard, or effect over time. "he is their most consistent player this season". Synonyms: steady, stable, constant, regular, orderly, uniform, unwavering.
So at this point in time I only have the regular TV free to air channels. I can’t say don’t like what’s on pay TV or I can’t afford it, it’s really that I just don’t care enough at this point in time and the free to air channels are enough to keep me channel flicking for now, when I get the chance to be at my own home due to busy work commitments. I could have included a list of recent movies but I tend to watch a movie once and move on without recalling to much about it; apologies movie Buffs, yes the likes of you Marc Fennell, I do love your movie reviewing skills I just forget to go watch them. In saying that yes I am a fan of ‘The Feed’ and sometimes stay up late enough to watch your cult movies on Monday night even though I have boot camp the next morning.
Anyway back on track TV Shows I like to watch, in
no particular order other the first on the list.
Game of Thrones: Ok I know it’s on pay TV but once you start you just can’t stop. You know why, do I really need to say why, it’s so so so good! Thank you sis for saving it on demand for me!
Adam Ruins Everything: It is based on American facts but a lot of the information he reveals translates quite effectively to Australia and other countries. Very interesting show.
Mythbusters: When this show made it to commercial TV I realised there is a secret science geek within each of us, or utter nutters that like to watch things blow up, you choose which camp you’re in! Of Kari Byron is the best female on the show and was pregnant while filming still looking lovely.
The Check Out: Every generation needs an Australian consumer affairs show that talks straight about the laws and the rights of consumers when buying and selling products or services. Plus it’s pretty funny.
QI: With Stephen Fry as the witty host it makes me want to learn more about everything, he has such cheeky mannerisms. Alan Davies, always to Stephens’s right, pipes up with some clever answers and the guests are always guessing the answers to Stephens’s questions at best. I do like the new host Sandi Toskvig, what knack for facts she has.
Spicks and Specks: Alan Brough and Myf Warhurst with Adam Hill, all my favourite radio and TV presenters together, along the outstanding guests joining them every week for some music trivia.
Graham Norton Show: Who doesn’t want to see some of the best talent alive today be interviewed by Graham Norton? You can also enjoy it with a squig on Graham’s wine range while you’re at it!
Anh’s Brush with Fame: Oh Anh, what is your secret? Is there nothing you can’t do? I so glad you made your way to Australian air waves, publishing houses, TV sets, paint brushes and more. I hope to give you a big hug when I get the chance to meet you.
